Check Yourself!

Hey my lovely readers, it has been awhile! This is quick check-in so I won’t be long.

When was the last time you check yourself? You are probably confused as to what I mean, right? But let your mind run , what was the first thought you had when you read the title “Check Yourself”?

Well no worries, what I want you to do is a mental evaluation of yourself. It is more like an introspection. Take stock of your life’s journey, your feelings, emotions, mental health and also your physical health. There is absolutely so much going on in the world that it is as easy as a blink to get lost in it all. It is so important now more than ever, that we check ourselves. Are you still present in the moment? Are you caught up in fear? hurt? confusion?

The past few months have been so draining for me personally. So many things were happening all at once and there I was trying to process it all at once, instead of being able to process in pieces. I was BURNT. I don’t know how I functioned and as an escape, I slept! Every chance I got Zzzz’ , I was out and when I was not sleeping… well I found some comfort in food and then I was right back into the mounting drama and news and everything that was going on in the world. I simply did not take the time to breathe , catch up with myself and just disconnect. Trust me when I say that may be causing so much problems in your life, that you’re are not even aware of.

Remember, it is important to disconnect, not try to prove a point, rest and relax.

What we can control we can change. What we cannot control , we cannot change. Waste no time dwelling on the later. Instead focus on the former.
